Thumbs Up, Uranus (1969)

Publicity still and poster for Thumbs Up, Uranus, one of the last of the famous Thumbs Up comedy series produced at the long defunct Cricklewood Film studios

Steve (after Capaldi)

  1. Replies
    1. Spoof documentary written and presented Peter Capaldi, BBC 4, might still be on the I-player if you look quick. might even be on YouTube - The Cricklewood Greats.

    2. Evan the name "cricklewood international pictures" sounds pretty dodgy and the "films" title sounds more like a cheap porno.

Heres a couple for the "not a spacesuit but looks like one" category
      1986s the wraith
      Pacific Rim suits

    3. The Thumbs Up series were in the tradition of the "Carry On" films. Interestingly, the Carry On people never did a space film which always struck me as odd and a missed story idea
