If I recall correctly, this is about a hypersonic transport which accidentally goes to orbit.
ReplyDeleteWhich is a bit like the gas pedal getting stuck in your car, causing you to accidentally break the speed of sound.
I do think I watched it on video and it did seem like just another plane disaster movie with a bit of a sci-fi gimmick. Suits - well the helmets - are sort of interesting.
DeleteOne of the helmets shows up in the TV series Parker Lewis Can't Lose 1st season episode 20, Randall Without A Cause. It shows up as a desk decoration in a police detective's office.
