    You have to wonder if they envisioned people wearing spacesuits 24/7... seems like that would get really uncomfortable.

      In 1959's Men Into Space, they used what look like contemporary USAF flight suits for wear in a shirtsleeve environment. And naturally, they're very similar to what they wear on the ISS.
