The Europa Report, ladies and gentlemen.  Coming soon and looking good.

  1. Turned out to be a pretty good film. As a tiny-budget art-house film, it kinda got lost at the box office. Now out on DVD. Fairly attentive to its science-- unusally for an SF film, the credits are crammed with information about their sources of science advice, planetary images, etc.

Most of it takes place within the spaceship but there are significant EVA scenes, both in deep space and on the surface of Europa.

  2. I would say its a decent film but I kept wanting it to go linear I have scene enough Quintan Tarrentino films that I knew we would see it out of order right from the get go but I wanted more EVA scenes as I really liked the suits. Definitely rent it if you can.

  3. I liked it.

Not a big fan of the "found footage" thing, but this was in the context of a "faux documentary" which works better for me personally. I have to admit that I'll give an extra two stars to any film that has a space centrifuge.

But honestly, I think this film had the best scene involving hydrazine ever made.
