Blake's 7 - Killer (1979)

Another of our irregular: "Not really a spacesuit but..". blog posts.
From the second series of Blake's 7, episode 7; Killer, are featured these ill considered outfits.  If I remember correctly - I worked through the box sets a couple of years back - these are not spacesuits but rather protective outfits worn by a Federation boarding party.

Now I'm not going to tell you they look like this fella...
...because that's sort of obvious but I might mention that they look very similar to these suits...

    Actually they are Michelin Man aka Bibendum suits

    The BBC prop department got somehow those Michelin man suits in there "Creative hands"...

    Wow..just..wow
    I love the extremes,on the one hand you have the class of the recycled windaks and on the other you have recycled michelin man suits,you`ve just got to love the bbc.
    And on an unrelated note I did some more searching on the young astronauts,I wasnt able to find anything more on the comics/show but an unrelated book series popped up and it did have space suits on the covers

    I`ve got another one for the:Not really a spacesuit but... category
    Its Ro-man from the infamous 1953 movie Robot Monster,the helmets,there appear to be 2 of them,that Ro-man is wearing appears to be two of the paper mache helmets from Radar men from the moon and Flight to mars
