Something for the Weekend #19

Kate Bush is a creature of such rare beauty and talent that were I to have dedicated this entire blog to her instead of spacesuits, even after all these years, we would still not have done justice to her artistry and originality...
This is an image of Kate from her 1982 video for The Dreaming, the title track from her 4th studio album.  I present it here as something of a teaser for what's to come.  Yes that may well mean more pictures of Kate Bush.  But it will also include David Bowie, Moon Zero Two, Alien and even a Cyberman or two. Who would have thunk it?

Goodnight Kate.

  2. The mention of david bowie just made me remember the other Man who fell to earth, the 1987 tv movie,it has a brief spacesuit scene in it at the beginning, sadly this was all I could find

    2. Its probably worse,I cant really remember much of it,it had the feel of a pilot for a series that didnt get picked up,personally I preferred the novel.

  3. I notice that we`re missing a movie/suit for 1992,I`ve just found one from the movie Waxwork II which like its predecessor is a series of linked stories, this one contains an Alien homage with some rather dodgy suits of the bike shop variety, interestingly it also stars Star Trek:TNG Mirina Sirtis and Evil Dead Bruce Campbell

  4. Found another one of the puppet variety,it turned out that the japanese made several gerry anderson type puppet shows in the 60s but sadly the company that produced them did exactly the same sort of erasing video tape to reuse it stupidity as the bbc so sadly only a handful of episodes remain, anyway one of them has two spacesuits in it,its called Galaxy Boy Troop

And another suit in the 2nd japanese puppet show Spaceship Silica

Sadly the best series Aerial City 008 which ran from 1969-70 and looks comparable to mid to late 60s gerry anderson has only one surviving episode out of 230[!] episodes, but even more sadly it doesnt have a spacesuit in it
