The Wizard of Mars is a 1965 low budget science fiction film take-off of L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, co-written and directed by stage magician David L. Hewitt. That's all I know.
It's tedious and banal to approach this film from the usual detestable MST3k/hur, hur lookit the bad movie viewpoint: it's one of David Hewitt's several films about time loops and the Eternal Return and is strange and surreal and a little sad, and some parts are very beautiful. (Some parts of the film are also pretty boring, it must be said.)
