    I cant believe I forgot all about Dan Dare.I found this site which shows more than one suit DD suit including the traditional fishbowl type

    As a minor note: in The Quatermass Experiment (the serial) I recall one of the reporters comments that the spacesuit worn by the returning astronaut looks like the ones in the comics after all. Although, I thought the suit in the film version was a good deal closer to Dan Dare...
