Season 4, episode 1.

Mmm!  No face plates. A slight oversight

The Martian (2015) The Other Spacesuits.

Finally watched the DVD of the film yesterday and.... mmm...

Well the wife liked it, the eldest liked it and even the mother-in-law, who doesn't normally watch "space" films,  seemed to like it too.  I quite liked it but having read the book first I have to say that it seemed to be lacking something.  Perhaps its just the different media but the book seemed more intense, more dramatic and suspenseful.  The sense of isolation and impending doom was much greater read off the page.  Perhaps for once its a case of; telling being better than; showing!
Which probably all boils down to the fact that I think, if you've not had the pleasure of either version yet, then I would definitely recommend the reading of the book first.

Oh and these are the other more traditional style of spacesuits seen through the film.

UFO - Alien Helmet (1970)

A couple of scans sent to me quite a while ago by friend to this blog: Tim Armstrong.  If I recall we were discussing where the Doppelganger/UFO spacesuits had ended up and as Tim revealed, with evidence to back it up, that at least one of the alien helmets from the show had been saved for posterity by a collector.

Sorry its taken a while, Tim, I had trouble getting them to appear larger than a thumb-nail on my computer but I seem to have cracked it now.

Scorpion Season 2, Episode 11 - The Old College Try (2015)

Scorpion is an American procedural action drama television series.... of which I've never watched a single episode so I'm going to have to thank Tim, once again for the pointer towards this particular episode.
The members of the team go under cover at a university in order to track a hacker who is putting the world economy at risk.

Agents of SHIELD S3 Ep 5: 4,722 Hours (2015)

From Marvel's Agents of SHIELD Season 3, Episode 5; "4,722 Hours"  A fine stand out episode of which I will say nothing more as this season is still airing in the UK at the moment.

We may come back and discuss some more in the future, with further images.
