Destroy All Monsters, released in Japan as Kaijū Sōshingeki (Attack of the Marching Monsters)is the ninth entry in the original Godzilla series.
I used to love these films as a nipper, a regular of the Saturday morning movies on TV, after or instead of TISWAS. Unfortunately nobody seems to put them on any more and I also suspect they might not have translated through the years so I might just keep the memories intact.
Don't especially remember these chaps but then despite the bright colour, they're not an especially memorable design.
Thanks again Tim

Those suits are weird. They look like an action figure that changes its face by spinning its head around.
ReplyDeleteI always thought the helmets looked like plastic construction hard hats that someone had clipped a visor onto, they tend to have bright colors just like these things, its weird because a lot of the japanese monster/sf movies often had pretty good suits that you could see had had some money spent on them, and speaking of those I`ve just noticed literally right this minute that the suits/helmets from 1967s The X from outer space look a hell of a lot like the ones from 1969s The green slime.
ReplyDeleteI do believe you're right
