TV pilot for a proposed series that never got anyone excited at the time.  Uses some stock footage from Conquest of Space as well as original stuff, so may look familiar.  I've not had the pleasure but it seems to have it's fans now days

Satellite in the Sky (1956)

 

Satellite in the Sky is a 1956 British film. It was directed by Paul Dickson with special effects by Wally Veevers. The film was the first British science fiction film to be shot in CinemaScope and colour.  What more could you need to know?

 

Great Britain launches the 'Stardust'; the first manned spaceship with a deadly nuclear “tritonium” bomb attached to it.  O-ho!

Jason X (2001)

I quite like a bit of Friday the 13th. They are what they are.

 I quite like the mad idea of setting the tenth one of the series in space, in the future.

That said, Jason X, is a load of old tummy rot and probably best avoided.

Saturn 3 Gallery (1980) part 2

With 3517 page views so far, my first Saturn 3 gallery has at least a third more hits than any other single post for any other film featuring spacesuits.

That's kind of weird because I could probably prove for a fact that Saturn 3 is not a clear third more interesting than any other sci-fi film ever made.

Nor for that matter are the spacesuits in it a 3rd more interesting than any other spacesuits seen on the backs of other actors in other films.

As such I invite comments from anyone who might have an inkling as to why this post should prove to be so popular.

It's a bit of a mystery

One that me and Alex here intend to get to the bottom of.
