Want to buy a second hand spacesuit?
Or any number of other items from the Lost In Space remake series. If so then head on over to the Propstore before the 16th of February 2022
Lost in Space Auction (propstoreauction.com)
By way of a taste of whats on offer, here are some of the best images we will ever get of Will Robinson's spacesuit, courtesy of the above site. Enjoy the skills of the costume designers and fabricators.
I've still got the final few episodes of series 3 left to watch so will be back round this way, looking at the show again, once that's done.

Not bad looking suits,I wonder if whoever designed them had a hand in designing the mars suits for the movie The Martian,as they do have a similar look/feel to them.
ReplyDeleteI`ve found another example of prop spacesuit reusing/recycling,this time from the soviet union of all places. The suits from the 1963 soviet sf film Mechte Navstrechu, were slightly reworked [minor alterations to the helmet mostly] for the 1967 movie The Air Seller.

I can remember with the roger corman movie Queen of Blood, which used a lot of footage from the soviet movie Mechte Navstrechu, there was a rather unlikely theory that perhaps corman had received the spacesuit props as well,as the suits in the us filmed sequences are near[tho not perfect]dead ringers for their soviet counterparts. Now however we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the soviet originals stayed in the ussr.
Heres a rather neat movie poster for Mechte Navstrechu
