Solaris (2002)

Solaris is the 2002  American remake of the 1972 Russian film of the same name, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring George Clooney and Natascha McElhone.  It's based on the 1961 science fiction novel, also of the same name, by Polish writer Stanisław Lem.  I quite like it.

Solar Crisis (1990)

A huge solar flare is predicted to fry the Earth. Astronauts aboard the spaceship Helios must go to the Sun to drop a bomb equipped with an Artificial Intelligence and a Japanese pilot (as a backup if the Artificial Intelligence fails) at the right time so the flare will point somewhere else.

Sergeant Deadhead (1965)

Sergeant Deadhead is a 1965 musical comedy film starring Frankie Avalon.  Sergeant Deadhead is bumbling soldier who is accidentally blasted into space. When he returns home he is a national hero but has also developed a massive ego. A soldier who looks exactly like him, Sergeant Donovan, is found to take his place.

Not sure I'll be looking this one up but interestingly it is another film to feature those Men into Space helmets
