002 Operazione Luna (1965)

002 Operazione Luna is a 1965 Italian comedy film directed by Lucio Fulci.
When a Russian space craft is lost in space with two cosmonauts on board, the KGB authorities abduct two petty criminals, Franco and Ciccio, to launch them into space and have them return to impersonate the lost cosmonauts, only to have the real cosmonauts, Paradowski and Borovin, return which the two duos cause misunderstandings abound.

Flight to Mars (1951)

Looky-Likey or the real deal?.  Its only a year after these suits were first seen in Destination Moon (1950) that they then appeared here in Flight to Mars (1951).  The helmets are new and appear to lack a visor as well as picking up a bit of colour.

Talking of colour; here follows three stills used as promotional material for the film  The originals must have been black and white because these have clearly been painted and deviate from the colour scheme by a shade or two

The Time Tunnel - One Way to the Moon (1966)

Another Irwin Allen show, The Time Tunnel ran from 1966 to 1967.
These images are from the second episode; One Way to the Moon, and use spacesuits (inspired by?) George Pal's Destination Moon (1950)

The Simpsons - Deep Space Homer (1994)

Deep Space Homer is the 15th episode of The Simpsons' 5th season and first aired on February 24, 1994.  You've probably seen it.

As well as guest starring real life astronauts; Buzz Aldrin, astronaut Edward Lu asked for a copy of the episode to be sent on a supply ship to the International Space Station where it remains there for fellow astronauts to view.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea - Journey with Fear" (1967)

Journey with Fear is the 4th episode from the 4th season of the long running American TV series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. (1964 to 1968), an underwater adventure series not averse to dealing with an outer space plot or two.

Aliens snatch a manned space probe launched from Seaview with Chip Morton aboard, and transport it at the speed of light to their observation post on the rocky, unstable surface of Venus

Here you will notice the very same spacesuits as first seen in Way... Way Out (1966) which then went on to feature in various other films and a variety of other TV shows.  Follow the Way Out Spacesuit label below to be truly amazed at where this suit winds up.

.....go on then... off you trot

Kadoyng (1972) part 2

Kadoyng, a Children's Film Foundation production from 1972, was one of my earliest posts on this blog and interesting in as much as it appears to be the only other appearance of the aliens spacesuit from Gerry Anderson's UFO TV series.
I'm fairly sure I watched this back in the day, although it would have been on TV,  a couple of years later, probably during the summer holidays and I would have been nought but a nipper at the time.
They're beginning to release double features from the CFF and I would hope they'll get round to this one soon but until then we'll settle for this single image and the video cassette artwork from what I believe to have been the Spanish release.

Doctor Who (2014) Behind the Scenes

A visual teaser of things to come from the new autumn season of  Doctor Who.
As of this moment, I've no story details what so ever for these behind the scenes images.  There's Pete Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and other in those familiar orange spacesuits worn in previous Dr Who stories; such as The Satan Pit, Waters of Mars and Hide, but there is also a very nice new pale blue suit which looks rather effective.

Not long to go now and getting very excited about it all
